How do I get started?
To start the process, place your order online. During the checkout process, you will be provided with an option to upload your resume, a position of interest, and/or any other supporting materials you wish to provide. If you don’t have a resume, we can still get started. Though we do not have any worksheets or questionnaires for you to complete, we will need a brief synopsis or overview of possibly the last 10 years of your employment history in order to provide us with preliminary insight into your background. We need your career overview in advance of our collaborative consultation with you. This information can be provided to us in the body of an e-mail or forwarded as a Microsoft Word attachment to info@resumesbyjoyce.com—whichever is easiest for you.
What is your turnaround time?
We will deliver your career marketing materials within 3-5 days from the date of your consultation with your resume writer.
When will I hear from my writer?
In the event your order is received prior to 5:00 pm ET your writer will contact you the same day. After 5:00 pm ET your writer will contact you the next business day.
Do I need an existing resume to get started?

How long is the resume phone consultation?
Our consultations are typically 45-60 minutes in length, however, this may be extended depending on your career needs.
What forms of payment do you accept? Is this a secure site?
We accept PayPal, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. Our payment gateway is managed on a compliant and secure server by PayPal.
Is payment required up front?
Yes, we do request payment prior to beginning the service.

Do you offer rush service?
Yes, we do offer a 24-hour and 48-hour rush service. Our rush fees are displayed on each pricing page toward the bottom in the à la carte section.
What happens after I place my order?
You will receive a payment confirmation from our business account with PayPal which you can print out and retain for your records.  In the event your order is received prior to 5:00 pm ET your writer will contact you the same day. After 5:00 pm ET your writer will contact you the next business day.
What if I have gaps in my employment or a unique situation?
Over the past 10 years, we have developed strategies, methods, and techniques to help clients overcome some of the most unique situations. We have created career marketing materials to help clients address employment gaps, a lack of degree, or partial degree completion, entrepreneur to executive-level transitions, clients who have downsized in their careers, career changers, and clients needing to return to work after a lengthy employment hiatus.
Will I work with the same writer throughout my entire project?
Yes, our writers are partnered with clients based on skill level and expertise.  All of our work is written and designed in-house. Upon receipt of your online order or a request for service made by phone or e-mail we will partner you with your writer.
Are you familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems?
Yes, we write applicant tracking system/(ATS)-friendly resumes.  Many ATS systems score resumes based on keywords and phrases. To score high, a resume must include these items. In addition, humans can search for resumes based on these keywords and phrases to find suitable candidates. We provide all resumes in Microsoft Word and PDF to save our clients time and to eliminate the risk of experiencing distortion issues during uploading.
